Components

The Hydrogel Facial Mask results from the cross-linking of vegetal proteins and a polymer (polyethylene glycol). It has a physiological pH and can contain active agents such as hydrolized hyaluronic acid, arbutin, fresh collagen, Vitamins, Natural aloe vera extract and propolis extract depending on skin needs.

ADVANTAGES OF HYALURONIC ACID

Hyaluronic Acid is naturally distributed throughout the human body, where one of its main functions is to hold water in the intercellular matrix of dermal connective tissue. This water-retaining attribute contributes significantly to the elasticity of the skin. As we age, the skin’s Hyaluronic Acid content diminishes. The result is a loss of elasticity in the skin that manifests itself in wrinkles. Exposure to the damaging rays of the sun and other harsh conditions hasten the onset of wrinkles.

Delivering Hyaluronic Acid to the skin helps moisturise and restore elasticity, thus minimizing the appearance of wrinkles. The effects of Hyaluronic Acid alone, however, are limited in duration. Current research and development has pursued and accomplished two goals.

The first program sought to prolong the effects of Hyaluronic Acid on the skin by complexing it with a polymer that would render the Hyaluronic Acid substantive.
