Spring Skincare – it’s time to become a Jojoba convert.
Our skin is as pleased to see the back of the harsh winter weather as we are. The colder temperatures leave our skin drier and often more sensitive. Spring is the perfect time to make a few changes to your routine so you can keep your skin looking and feeling hydrated and moisturised.
Jojoba oil is a liquid wax rather than a true oil and is remarkably like the sebum of our skin. Originally found in the harsh arid deserts of Mexico, the Jojoba is one of the earth’s most natural and useful products. Known as ‘liquid gold’ it is rich in vitamin A, E, and D, and works as an antibacterial, analgesic, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory.
Jojoba’s natural ability to solubilize sebum allows it to spread readily and absorb easily into the skin. It leaves a light, non-greasy layer that improves skin suppleness and does not clog the pores. By adding an oil into your routine, you are strengthening your skin barriers and preventing moisture loss and dehydration. Your skin will drink the oil in as it recovers from the winter, and once part of your daily routine, you will never look back.
Chalmers Dale Pure Jojoba Oil is processed from Australian Jojoba seeds using our unique cold-pressing method to deliver this perfect pure substance. Also available in our Aroma range we have blended our Jojoba with Lavender, Hinoki and Eucalyptus Oil.
Chalmers Dale’s Jojoba Moisturising Soap is made using Australian sourced jojoba oil, which has been extracted from seeds grown without the use of pesticides. This results in an extremely gentle and pure soap base of near neutral pH.
In addition to this, jojoba ester beads are incorporated to provide gentle and effective mild exfoliation. It is gentle enough for daily use and deposits a barrier of soothing jojoba ester which moisturises and softens the skin. These spherical jojoba ester beads are odourless and are totally biodegradable.
Chalmers Dale has created three beautiful Jojoba aroma soaps with the essential oils of Lavender, Eucalyptus and Hinoki. The Tasmanian lavender will relax and soothe with its delicate floral aroma. The Eucalyptus oil has a fresh, lemony aroma which is uplifting and invigorating. Eucalyptus has been used traditionally to maintain a healthy respiratory system and to soothe muscles after exercise. It’s also been used to treat wounds, and fight infection. Hinoki oil with its spicy, lemon scent is calming and uplifting, and can help boost your mood, as well as circulation.
